If you are in a relationship with an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen, you may be able to apply for a partner visa. There are 2 types of partner visas:
- Fiancé(e) (prospective marriage) visas are for those who are outside of Australia and are engaged to marry an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen.
- Partner visas are are for those who are married to, or in a de facto relationship with, an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen.

Family & Child Visas
If you have relatives who are settled in Australia, they may sponsor you to join them under the following subclasses of visas:

- Remaining Relative Visa and Aged Dependent Relative Visa are for those whose only living close relatives lives in Australia.
- Carer Visa is for people to join an Australian relative who is in need of care due to a serious medical condition.

- New Zealand Citizen Family Relationship Visas are for family members of a New Zealand citizen who is travelling to or living in Australia on a Special Category Visa.
